Description: Island Eyecare is an optometric practice located in downtown Victoria. We take pride in putting patients first and fulfilling their eyecare needs. We have a highly technological office with excellent diagnostic equipment. With a visual field analyzer and retinal camera on site, we are able to benefit patients by more accurately diagnosing glaucoma and other diseases of the eye. We also have a professional optician to help with the process of eyeglass selection. With all of the options out there, choosing the correct pair of glasses can be very overwhelmeing. Our optician is well trained and useful in providing information on the specifics of different types of lenses and coatings. We will always listen to your needs and find the perfect product for you. We do cut some of our own lenses in the office and so, depending upon the prescription, they can be ready the same day. If we do not have the lenses in stock, it generally will only take from a few days to about a week. When you come in to Island Eyecare, the receptionist will check you in and do some pretesting. You will then see the doctor who will do a complete eye exam and go over the results with you. If there is a need for glasses, they can be chosen and the process begun the same day. If there is a need for contact lenses, depending on the prescription, it can also be done the same day or within a few days. We do our best to make your visit convenient and informational.
